September 22, 2025 at 10:49 am
güllaç

Güllaç is a light and delicate dessert made from special thin sheets of corn starch and wheat flour, layered with milk, sugar, and rose water. It is decorated with pomegranate seeds and nuts – a true feast for the eyes and taste buds.

This dessert originated in the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century and is considered one of the oldest Turkish sweets. Traditionally, Güllaç is enjoyed during Ramadan, as it is light, refreshing, and symbolizes the festive spirit.

In Turkish culture, Güllaç is more than just a dessert – it is a story of hospitality, tradition, and aesthetics that brings families together and delights guests.
