Going on Private Trips Abroad

September 6, 2024 at 5:11 pm
If you are going on holiday on private trips abroad to countries which are not members of the European Union or the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), the National Commission for Health and Examination of Disability of Doctors invites you to fill in the Consular Register of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (available at: https://www.mfa.gov.lv/lv/konsularais-registrs), providing details about yourself and your family members, so that in the event of a large-scale crisis (e.g. natural disaster, terrorist attack, hostilities) in one of the selected countries of travel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs can promptly contact the traveller or the contact person indicated by the traveller in order to organise the necessary consular assistance.

P.S. Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that for technical reasons, the service "Consular Register" is temporarily unavailable on the portal http://www.latvija.lv as of 2 April. You are therefore invited to send information on your travel plans to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs electronically by e-mail: konsularais.registrs@mfa.gov.lv.
